Refund & Cancellation Policy
At SAKHER BHRAMAN TOUR & TRAVELS, we strive to provide transparent and fair cancellation and refund procedures. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms applicable when a traveler cancels a booking, requests a refund, or when a tour is cancelled or rescheduled.
By confirming a booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. General Policy
All cancellation and refund requests are subject to the terms set out in this Policy.
Refund eligibility depends on:
- The date of cancellation.
- The type of tour booked.
- Payments already made to third-party suppliers.
- Applicable government rules.
- Airline, railway, hotel, or visa provider policies.
Certain charges may be non-refundable regardless of the cancellation date.
2. Cancellation by the Traveler
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify SAKHER BHRAMAN TOUR & TRAVELS as soon as possible.
Cancellation requests may be submitted through:
- Telephone
- In-person at our office
A cancellation request will be considered effective only after it has been acknowledged by the Company.
3. Cancellation Charges
Refunds will be processed according to the following schedule:

| 30 days or more | 50% refund |
| 15 days or more | 30% refund |
| Less than 7 days | No refund |
If a package contains services that are already confirmed with hotels, airlines, railways, or other suppliers, their cancellation policies may further affect the refund amount.
4. Non-Refundable Charges
The following charges are generally non-refundable:
- Convenience Fees
- Processing Charges
- Service Charges
- Government Fees
- Certain Permit Fees
- Any amount specifically marked as non-refundable at the time of booking
5. Flight Ticket Cancellation
Flight ticket cancellations are governed by the applicable airline’s cancellation and refund policy.
The Company does not determine airline refund amounts.
Any airline refund received by the Company will be passed on to the traveler after deducting any applicable service charges or processing fees.
6. Railway Ticket Cancellation
Train ticket cancellations are processed in accordance with the applicable rules of Indian Railways or the relevant railway booking system.
Refunds will be subject to:
- Railway cancellation charges,
- Applicable service charges, and
- Booking-related deductions.
7. Hotel Cancellation
Hotel cancellation charges depend on:
- The hotel’s cancellation policy,
- The date of cancellation,
- Seasonal demand,
- Peak travel periods,
- Supplier conditions.
Some hotels may impose full cancellation charges even if the traveler cancels before departure.
8. Visa Fees
Visa fees are governed by the relevant government authority or embassy.
Unless specifically refunded by the issuing authority, visa fees are generally non-refundable.
The Company has no authority over visa approval, rejection, or refund decisions.
9. No-Show Policy
A traveler shall be considered a No-Show if they:
- Fail to report at the designated departure point on time.
- Miss the departure due to personal reasons.
- Fail to join the tour without prior notice.
- Fail to produce required travel documents.
In such cases:
- No refund shall be payable.
- Unused services will generally not be refunded.
- Additional expenses incurred to rejoin the tour shall be borne by the traveler.
10. Partial Refunds
If a traveler voluntarily leaves a tour after it has commenced or chooses not to use any included services, no refund shall ordinarily be provided for the unused portion of the package, unless otherwise agreed by the Company in writing.
Unused services may include:
- Hotel accommodation
- Meals
- Sightseeing
- Transportation
- Entry tickets
- Guided activities
11. Tour Rescheduling
In certain circumstances, the Company may permit the rescheduling of a booking instead of cancellation.
Rescheduling is subject to:
- Availability,
- Supplier approval,
- Operational feasibility,
- Any applicable additional charges.
Rescheduling is not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
12. Cancellation by the Company
The Company reserves the right to cancel or postpone a tour due to circumstances including, but not limited to:
- Insufficient number of participants,
- Severe weather conditions,
- Natural disasters,
- Government restrictions,
- Political unrest,
- Safety concerns,
- Operational issues,
- Force Majeure Events.
Where feasible, travelers may be offered:
- An alternative departure date,
- A comparable tour package,
- A travel credit, or
- A refund, subject to recoveries from third-party suppliers.
13. Force Majeure Events
The Company shall not be held responsible for cancellations, delays, interruptions, or changes caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Floods
- Earthquakes
- Landslides
- Heavy Rainfall
- Cyclones
- Pandemics
- Epidemics
- Political Unrest
- Curfew
- War
- Terrorist Activities
- Government Restrictions
- Road Blockages
- Flight Cancellations
- Train Cancellations
- Natural Calamities
- Any Other Unforeseen Emergency
In such situations, the Company may:
- Reschedule the tour,
- Modify the itinerary,
- Offer a future travel credit where feasible, or
- Process refunds only to the extent that recoveries are received from third-party suppliers.
The Company cannot guarantee a full refund where suppliers retain charges.
14. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds will normally be processed within 15 business days from the date the cancellation request is accepted and all necessary verifications have been completed.
Where mutually agreed, the refundable amount may instead be adjusted against a future booking with SAKHER BHRAMAN TOUR & TRAVELS.
The processing time of banks, UPI providers, or other financial institutions is beyond the Company’s control.
15. Method of Refund
Refunds will generally be issued using the same payment method through which the original payment was received, wherever reasonably possible.
Depending on the payment method, refunds may be made through:
- UPI
- Bank Transfer
- Cash (where appropriate and permitted)
The Company reserves the right to request identity verification before processing any refund.
16. Third-Party Supplier Refunds
Many travel services are provided by independent suppliers such as:
- Hotels
- Airlines
- Indian Railways
- Vehicle Operators
- Local Tour Operators
- Government Authorities
Refunds relating to these services are governed by the respective supplier’s policies.
The Company shall not be responsible for delays, deductions, or refusal of refunds by third-party suppliers.
17. Price Differences After Booking
If the cost of hotels, transportation, fuel, government taxes, permits, or supplier charges increases after a booking has been confirmed, the Company reserves the right to revise the package price where such increases are beyond its control.
Travelers will be informed of any material price revision before the affected services are provided.
18. Change of Travel Date
A traveler may request a change of travel date before departure.
Approval of such requests depends on:
- Availability,
- Hotel confirmation,
- Transportation availability,
- Supplier approval,
- Operational feasibility.
Additional charges may apply for date changes.
A change of travel date is not guaranteed.
19. Transfer of Booking
Subject to the Company’s approval and operational feasibility, a traveler may request the transfer of a confirmed booking to another eligible traveler.
Such requests:
- Must be submitted before departure,
- May require updated identification documents,
- May attract administrative or supplier charges.
The Company reserves the right to refuse a transfer where it is not practical or permitted.
20. Fraudulent or Invalid Bookings
The Company reserves the right to cancel any booking immediately without refund if it reasonably believes that:
- False information has been provided,
- Fraudulent payment methods have been used,
- Identity documents have been falsified,
- The booking violates applicable laws or these policies.
Where required, such matters may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
21. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If a traveler initiates an unjustified chargeback or payment dispute after valid travel services have been provided, the Company reserves the right to:
- Contest the dispute with supporting evidence,
- Suspend future bookings,
- Recover any unpaid amounts through lawful means,
- Take appropriate legal action where necessary.
22. Exceptional Circumstances
Refund requests arising from exceptional situations, including serious medical emergencies or bereavement, may be considered on compassionate grounds.
Any such request:
- Must be supported by appropriate documentary evidence,
- Will be reviewed individually,
- Does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund.
The Company’s decision in such cases shall be made in good faith and communicated to the traveler.
23. Limitation of Refund Liability
The Company’s refund obligation shall be limited to the amount actually recoverable after deducting:
- Supplier charges,
- Government levies,
- Taxes,
- Service charges,
- Administrative costs,
- Any non-refundable amounts disclosed at the time of booking.
The Company shall not be liable for indirect losses such as loss of income, missed opportunities, additional travel expenses, or consequential damages resulting from a cancellation.
24. Governing Law
This Refund & Cancellation Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
25. Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
The parties are encouraged to attempt an amicable resolution before initiating formal legal proceedings.
